Due to significant commercial growth in this sector, WSP is seeking to enhance the expertise of our Finance department. We are currently looking for a Business Controller, based in Zurich.

YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT'S INVOLVED ?
As part of a dynamic team based in Lausanne and Zurich, you will assist the Finance Director in guiding and monitoring budgetary policy, and position yourself as a Business Partner for our managers. You will be based in our Zurich office.

Your core activities include:

• Collaborate in close partnership with the heads of the business units, and in particular with the team of controllers, you will:
• Analyze and present reports in German, English, and French if possible
• Manage the budget process with your internal clients
• Monitor and analyse the economic and financial data for the units and projects
• You will also be responsible for proposing and following up any corrective action that may need to be taken
• You will also implement analytical tools to support the Finance Director in its decision-making

WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?

You are driven to put your financial knowledge into a fast-growing engineering and consultancy firm. You are not only focused on the financial part but also eager to understand the business itself. Your analytic and critical mindset with a hands-on mentality, makes sure that we are continuously improving efficiency in financial processes.

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of finance, preferably in Accountancy/Controlling, with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar role (ideally in a project focused organisation). You will have recognized expertise in budgeting and complex financial operations, with particular emphasis on reporting and financial analysis.

• Excellent knowledge of modelling in Excel and reporting tools (such as: Lucanet, Power BI etc.). A tech savvy attitude, with the willingness to develop this area further
• Experience in a medium to large international (project) organization, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and IFRS is a plus
• Fluent in Swiss German or German and professional English, with a working knowledge of French preferred
